Create your altar

An important part of your retreat is creating an altar that represents you and what you want out of your retreat. You have your three found items from your nature walk, and now it's time to combine them with some sacred items you already own.
An altar is simply a sacred place where people reflect, meditate, and focus on spiritual connection. It can be whatever you want it to be - if you want to set the four directions and call in the elements, by all means do that. If you would like to arrange your objects in a way that is meaningful to you and only you, do that.
Some common items include:
candle
incense
crystals
bell or singing bowl
flowers or fruit
photos of loved ones
fabric or art
representations of Gods or Goddesses
The most important thing is that your altar is meaningful to you, that it is somewhere accessible to you for the time that you are on retreat, and that it will assist you in some way on your retreat.
We would love to see pictures of your altar! Share in the comments or on the community forum 🙏

I am someone who carries elements of my alter with me as I travel and when I land then also gather from that place to reflect my focus for the time spent in each place. During my 24 hour Inhabit retreat I went to a d
ifferent space on my property and through my initial grounding walk, collected items for my alter, to reflect my intention for what I wanted from my retreat time and space. This also helped me keep focus and filled my heart with happiness and beauty as I kept it as my focal point.

A travelling altar! I do that too :) It helps me feel grounded and settled in a place if i bring a couple of sacred things from home. And, I love your altar 😍
